Here's what it takes to upgrading to Windows 10 on your PC or tablet:
- Latest OS: Make sure you're running the latest version--either Windows 7 SP2 and Windows 8.1 Update.
- Find out which version you're running
- Need the latest version? Download the Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 Update (even through Windows 7/8.1 ended support on January 10, 2023)
- Proccesor: 1 GHz or faster proccessor or SoC
- RAM: 1 GB for 32 bit or 2 GB for 64 bits
Hard disk space: 16 GB for 32 bit OS or 20 GB for 64 bits
- Graphics card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
- Display: 800 x 600

Windows 11
To install or upgrade to Windows 11, devices must meet the following minimum hardware requirements:
- Proccessor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with two or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or system on a chip (SoC).
- Memory: 4 gigabytes (GB) or greater.
- Storage: 64 GB or greater available disk space.
Note: There might be more storage requirements over time for updates, and to enable specific features within the OS, For more information, please see Windows 11 specifications.
- Internet connection: Internet connectivity is necessary to perform updates, and to download and use some features.
- Windows 11 Home edition requires an internet connection and a Microsoft Account to complete device setup on first use.
